All edges gilt. Handsome engravings of Robert Southey and his residence at Keswick. 828 p.p. including Index. Edmund Seymour Daubney's bookplate and two personal inscriptions to feps; foxing to eps and prelims. but text clean; prelim. guttering cracked but this is a completely solid and tightly bound copy. New Edition 1847. First published in one volume in 1845. The original ten vols. were published in 1837 & 1838, having been edited by Robert Southey himself at the age of 63; Southey's prefaces to all ten vols. are included here.
